Re: How will you be productive today?

I'm retired; I have no "need" to be productive every day - nor did I, actually, when I was working. Weekends were for ME. I've never been a 'have to feel busy or productive 7/365' person.

@Moonchilde I agree with you. It's funny as my two sisters have to be busy and on the move all the time!

@proudlyfromNJ, in my 20s and 30s and even into my mid 40s I was out and about from morning to night during my non-working hours. But at some point I realized it was getting to be "work" - probably in large part because most things involved traffic, parking and crowds of people. I started staying closer to home, and spending my time doing quieter things. Now, arthritis is really putting a cramp in my out and about desire, never mind ability. I've accepted not to be continually apologetic re things I know my body will scream at me for.

I helped DH sand in the bathroom. That is unusual but I want to get this room done. He is slower than he used to be. Now I know we will hire help. Eating lunch and will put a wash in. Watch the game. That is it!

Re: How will you be productive today?

Catiele, let's turn that around and have fun today: how about putting sand in the bathroom??? Walk on the beach-real or imagined- and if it's not warm and sunny, imagine that it is.... now, take your shoes off and take a nice walk on the beach....

Too much sun? Let's go inside. Hmmm, you need to wash your hands after picking up all of those beautiful shells you found.

There, you have it! Sand in your bathroom! Isn't that more fun?

Re: How will you be productive today?

It's 12:46 here and my day is filled with many places to shop.  Monday will be a busy day and I want to get the shopping out of the way today.
