@Mom2Dogs  I'm surprised that Amazon only has one drop off place. They need to do better. When you start the return process, only one place shows up? Maybe you can ask Amazon to email you a label. Earlier today on a different Thread someone said they requested a label and it was emailed to them.

@Sage04   Thanks, I will go back to the Amazon site and look.  To be honest I did not even look at the locations because I knew where a drop off was.  I had no idea getting a label was an issue.  I rarely order from Amazon...again, thanks.

@elated  you are correct. Just remember seeing that, but I always choose the QR Code. Maybe @Mom2Dogs  can do that also rather than asking Amazon for a label.

I was not given the option for me to print a label at home.   I also checked the Amazon site for locations for returns...what they listed are UPS stores. The location in my town that takes UPS packages (with label) is a  drug store.  There is NO UPS store in my town.  It looks like the closest place I can go is to Kohls.

@Mom2Dogs  this is the long way around but if you look at the bottom of the page at "Let us help you" you will see the word "help". It takes you to other things but keep clicking "something else" until you get to the chat option.

From what I remember you can request a call back from there. They usually call back. Then you can ask them to send you a label. It used to be a lot easier than this. Or you can call them and ask for a representative.

I go into the order that I want to return and it will give you options, click 'return' to get authorization, I opt for UPS drop off which is a CVS store right down the street from me, Amazon will then email you a return label (no charge to return) print it out and attach to the box/package and take it to the site you've chosen, after dropping off the package, Amazon will send you an email that very same day that a refund has been processed prior to receiving the item back.

That was a little unkind, but it's true, everyone needs some kind of smart phone these days.  Soon landlines will start being a thing of the past.

I'm also fairly new to Amazon returns. When I take a return to a UPS store with just the QR code, do they charge for the return? Do they charge to box it up?

My understanding that at Kohl's there is no charge, with or without a box.

As others have stated. All that you need is the QR code. Walk into the UPS store, and bring up the code on your phone. They will scan it, give you a receipt and you are done. The return cash normally shows up in your account within a few hours.

I just did one a few hours weeks ago at the UPS Store. Easy.. peasy.

@shoppingless

There is no charge at UPS either, with or without a box.
