I hear you in the Northeast have been enjoying unseasonably balmy, warm weather. Let me tell you that we in the "warm" desert Southwest are about to freeze our collective "ars*es" off. We've had snow each of the past three days with the biggest storm just starting to come through tonight and tomorrow. Interstate 40 going East from Albuquerque was closed for 2 days and truckers diverted to park at the state fair grounds due to slick, icy roads.

As for balmy temperatures, we're supposed to have a high of 23 and lo of 7 tomorrow (Monday). This is for the Albuquerque area; more moutainous places will be colder. They're predicting up to 7 inches of snow for Albuquerque and more of course for the mountains. No, we do not have a climate like that of Phoenix but it's usually more moderate. At least the ski areas can open now.

We're so desperate for moisture, we'll take anything we can get. I had less than 3" of moisture at my house since last December. Let it snow!
