That was rude and a missed opportunity to be helpful, to be gracious.

Could be percerived that way, but I am not on their payroll and I hope it sent a message that having just one or two registers open on a major shopping day is poor judgement. I am not a WalMart Shopper unless I need a prescription filled. My thinking is that the supervisor missed an opportunity, not I. It is not my job to be helpful-I'm the customer-it is their job to be helpful and gracious.

@Jo1313 what a spiteful nasty thing to do. You sound like one of those difficult customers.  And since you have shoulder problems & need help bagging you should use the regular checkout.

@Jo1313  -  That is indeed a mean thing to do.  Why would you do that?   Awful.

Ok..I'm a horrible human being! In order to get some things done with the right person you have to do what you have to do...I'm sure that girl got more training.

@Jo1313 Again, wow!  You know, whenever I feel the urge to be a jerk to some store employee, I stop and ask myself, "Now what would Karen do?"  Never fails.  Stops me every time.

@Linda0215

I used to think of my mother's 'don't embarrass your father'.  Now I'm going to trade that in for your Karen.  Thanks

Many people don't realize that many employees are just following instruction/company policy.  They do not make the rules but must follow them.

Add me to the list of those using self scanners wherever they're available.

I like bagging my own groceries the way I want. As long as I can still do things for myself I'm going to continue. I like not being within coughing distance of someone.

I don't feel as if I'm doing the job of an employee. I feel like I'm doing things my way. Balancing with weight, and the categories into bags as I see fit.

I do it 99% of the time. It just so happens this week. The line was very long for self checkout, and there were two clerks at the registers with no one in the line. So I went to the regular checkout line and actually had a nice conversation with the lady.

I do self check out 95% of the time-i like it and kind of think its fun!  Now if i have a very large amount of groceries like at holiday time i may look for a cashier.

Take time every day to enjoy where you are without a need to fix it

Never. I do the curb-side pickup.

 Yes....this is what my daughter does since she has recently had both knees replaced.  According to her she will continue to do all future grocery shopping this way. She loves the convenience and "easiness" of it!

I use them probably 85% of the time. Never have trouble getting help to come when needed. I usually only have a few items as I have my groceries delivered to my door---no big deal.

I use it 100% of the time.  I much prefer doing it myself.  I bring my own bags easy peezy.  I never was much into having other people pick out my food for me.  I need to see what I am buying, plus it gets me out of the house.
