Re: How often do you watch tv?

[ Edited ]

If I had my way, I wouldn't have television, but husband would fall out not being able to watch car shows and sports. Now internet is a different story couldn't live without it.

Re: How often do you watch tv?

There are several series I like.  I usually don't do reruns.  I do read a lot and I take Netflix because I got tired of cable just running old movies.

@Shorty2U

Same as you. We watch only DVR programs. No special times especially when my wife is away on a pet sitting job. Keep pretty busy, depending on my overall health issues.

Can't remember the last "live" tv show I watched, been that long. Been time shifting tv shows since the late 1960's when I bought my first VCR. Sure cuts down on hour shoes for sure.

Re: How often do you watch tv?

Our tv is on all the time.  Either in the great room, kitchen or our bedroom.

I could live with it being off for periods of the day, I like periods of quiet, but my husband HAS to have it on.

We start with the local news in the morning, then Good Morning America and then he switches to CNBC for hours, till it's time for the local news again!

Re: How often do you watch tv?

Whenever I’m home I usually have the TV on.  I’m not always watching but I like having it on in the background.  I default to the news when there isn’t something else I want to watch.

@insomniac2   - I hear you about the animal cases.  I always turn the channel when those come on.  They seem to be increasing which makes it more difficult to watch those shows.

Re: How often do you watch tv?

It's on as background noise. I have a few shows I enjoy and an Amazon Fire Stick for movies, etc. I don't have a dvr, would never find the time to watch all that. Use On Demand occasionally. I love sports, NFL and MLB and once in a while NBA.

I like to listen to music and in the new year I want to read more on my Kindle.

Re: How often do you watch tv?

There is one soap opera I tape and watch daily.  The TV is on in the evening but rarely do I sit and watch a whole show except for a few favorites.  I'm waiting for Bones to return.

Re: How often do you watch tv?

Watch morning news until 9:00am, then it is off until about 6:00pm when I like Little House on Prairie, after that watch a Soap in PopTV then whatever else I find. I go to bed early so rarely on past 10:00pm. When I retired I told myself I would not get stuck in a trap of sitting in front of TV all day. I occasionally check in with Q live broadcast on my phone. I also subscribe to several YouTube Channels that I enjoy and watch on my phone.

Re: How often do you watch tv?

We seldom go out in the evenings and we do watch TV most evenings. We have a TV in the kitchen where we watch the local news while we have dinner. Sometimes, in the evening, DH & I watch together and sometimes he goes in the den and watches things like car auctions or pickers shows that I can't stand. In the summer when it stays light out til 9 or so we watch a lot less TV. We have netflix and Acorn so we can watch shows when nothing is on - we chromecast to our TV.

Re: How often do you watch tv?

Since we retired way too much.  We never had a DVR until we switched to Comcast three years ago and that has just added to our bad habit.
