How often do you hear from your grown children

We have a only child our wonderful son who is now 29 and lives in OK.We live in WA. so we don't see him often but we are very lucky that he calls us every day to chat for a few minutes.I really look forward to the calls but I always wait till he calls so that I won't intrude into his days plans.My friends think this is too often to chat and tell me that it is time to cut the strings.He knows that I love to hear from him and he also knows that I don't expect him to call if he has other plans.

A little strange, but certainly between you and your son. I'm on the go a lot, so I can't imagine anticipating a phone call everyday from anyone, even my child.

I think it's sweet that a son speaks to his parents a few minutes each day. I see nothing wrong with it.

I have four grown children who don't live in the same state as me, two in Pennsylvania, one in upstate New York and the other in Maryland. We have group texting which usually starts early in the morning and ends late at night. We share thoughts, news, jokes, grandkid's videos, recipes and everything else under the sun. I speak to two them throughout the week and the other two a few times a month.

I think it is great that your son keeps in touch, and I am sure it makes him feel better knowing you are OK.

My parents are 4 hours away so we Skype about twice a week and I talk or text with my mom and dad at least 3 or 4 times a week.

I "speak" with my only son daily on email/text/phone. He lives 1500 miles away. I see him 2-3x a year. We have a wonderful relationship. I am very blessed. There will be no string cutting here!

my three children are still living with me.....23, 20, and 19. i talk to them every day and text them multiple times a day.

i talk to my mom every day.....and see her 4-5 times a week, sometimes more.
