I don't cry with those animal cruelty commercials because I've seen them all about 600 times and I know the intent is to rustle up donations. I'm not really a crier. I do tear up over things like that horrible fire in NY that killed all those children. I tear up when I read about firefighters or police officers who die in the line of duty. I get teary when someone I loves does something kind or really loving for me.

I have a girlfriend who told me years ago that every night she watches a sad movie to cry ..She finds it cathartic...

I don't...

I find it draining ...

I am so sorry at the loss of your beloved son, MM. You have every reason in the world to cry. Your life has changed drastically and it seems the prognosis for your husband is not good either. My heart goes out to you.

I don't watch those commercials. I don't cry often, but a sappy movie can do it.

I am not a cryer, but when I was pregnant and then breastfeeding I was very emotional and cried often. These animal commercials just break my heart and I switch the channel immediately. The last time I cried was in November when I lost my cousin to stage 4 very quick lung cancer, it was very difficult for me.

(((Mama Mia))) I'm so sorry. I've had numerous, painful losses in my life but I know something broke inside me when my dear husband passed away so suddenly. Seems like the losses pile up and then... well something just breaks. I just said a prayer for you and I hope you can feel some semblance of comfort as time goes by. May God bless and keep you.

I cry a lot actually for both happy and sad things. We had some devastating news health wise in our family yesterday and we are just sad in this house right now.

I'm very sorry for the pain you've gone through, Mama Mia. I'm also very sorry for the pain other people have gone through or are going through as well.
