I guess no one read my explanation of trying to get stir-fry from a drumstick. More bone than meat, really.

I shop for my own groceries and stores don't have stuff.

If you don't want chicken quarters then you need to say that.  sometimes there is no chicken.

Mr henny and I are at high risk so don't do shopping.

I feel if the kids working for insta cart are taking a chance on their health we will not be overly picky if they err. We tip 20%.  We have been shopping at Gelson's a regional store. The prices are much higher to start but many products are a higher quality.

We are so fortunate so far with health etc that I am happy that we can have food delivered.

I have not dipped my toes into this online grocery business... I like to pick out my own things thank you very much.  I do not want a stranger who could care less about me to pick out my stuff.  I am VERY CHOOSY  on what I buy. Not going there....

I also do not want to pay extra to tip someone or pay for delivery.

if i eat dark meat, i pretty much prefer the drumstick. i dont care too much for the thigh meat.....it is way too juicy/slimy for me. my favorites are breasts and wings.

For any sort of delivery from food to furniture I tip what I feel like tipping. I do not equate delivery services to tipping wait staff in a restaurant, so the whole percentage of the tab thing goes by the wayside for me.

I've never done grocery shopping this way.  However, a relative of mine used Walmart and she said they don't allow tipping.

And I'm fine with no chicken. I'm in a high risk group (diabetes, dialysis, chronic heart failure) and don't shop for my own groceries. I really wish I could but haven't for a couple of years now.

I have used InstaCart for several years and I have Express Membership ---  works out to $9 a month/$2.25 a week (it eliminates the delivery fee which can vary based on the time/date for delivery anywhere from $5.99 to $7.99 per order),  I do pay the $2 service fee and I tip 20% because I have a lot of heavy items in my orders.  It's worth it to me....

I always provide replacements on the App and pay attention when my person is shopping .... They do a TERRIFIC job....

Before gas prices went crazy low, I'd have to drive to a store that was a bit far from where I live because the store closest to me wasn't stocked well (and this was before the pandemic)....either that or go to my closest store and then I'd still need to go to another store to find what I wanted.....That got really old.....

Not too choosy, not too cheap, just thankful here for food and someone to bring it to me.  How could you be otherwise now?
