They were interviewing a woman who I believe is a consultant on the new tv show about the airline stewardesses as they were called in the earlier days. She flew international (for PamAm) and showed photos and talk ed about how glamorous travel used to be, how people dressed up and wore fine jewelry, sat in the lounge and visited on the long flights, etc.

Now people are reduced to wearing flip flops and yoga pants to facilitate the pat downs.

I didn't fly then or now but I do remember in the early sixties how many young women wanted to pursue the stewardess career route. Sadly security concerns have made this a much diifferent time.
