I HATE Daylight Savings Time...... its not needed here in Texas....in the summer with DST it doesnt start to get dark until almost 10PM and that means an extra hour of heat and higher electric bills.....Woman Frustrated

In fact, people here are tired of springing forwarding and falling back and there is even a movement our State Legislature to make a change to stick with Standard Time year round or keep DST year round....

It's not needed like it used to be.  I just wish we could have one or two more hours in winter.  They can keep all that extra daylight in the Summer.  Too hot as it is @Spurt

My mom always used to say they got it backwards ..... we should set the clocks to get an hour more of daylight in the WINTER months....ITA

I look forward to "spring forward".  I enjoy all of the seasons except fall with the oranges and golds which I felt depressing from the time I was small.

Where I live we have 4 equal seasons.

Re: How many of you are waiting for the.......

@gertrudecloset - Definitely a "fall back" person. It could be fall and winter year round and I'd be happy. Of course, our winters are very mild - some nights we get lows in the mid to upper 20s, but not too often, and snow doesn't usually happen.

I'm just Not a fan of intense heat and humidity, nor the mosquitoes and all the other bugs/insects that are out in droves in spring and summer. Summer to me means hibernation - it's too hot and humid to even walk our dog; he hates it.

@Mimi 1883just listening to you has me shivering.....I have a neighbor who loves the winter months.  When she does get a glimpse of me during the coldest of months it's like she hasn't seen me in years.  I don't fool around out there in the cold.  I become a new person when spring arrives though.  LOL.

Don't get me started about no see ums, mosquitoes and bugs I can't identify in the Summer.  No matter what I do, they find a way in my house.  I'm splatting, spraying and doing all manner of things to rid myself of mosquitoes biting me.  It really is a miserable feeling (mosquitoe bites).

@ECBGWe have 2 equal seasons where I live.  Fall goes right on in to Winter without a problem and the same applies to Spring right into Summer.  Of course, my favorite is Spring......which I hardly ever see in my area.  It stays in the 40's 50's then jumps to the 80's smack dab into Summer.  Woman SadWoman Mad

I will admit, I'm not much of a summer time person.  I can't stand the heat and humidity.  I do look forward to Fall Back time of the year.

Having said that, I am looking forward to Spring Forward this year in particular!.  With the extra snowy winter we've had coupled with the pandemic, I want to some nice weather.  I hope we do have a pleasant spring because it seems past years, we go right from a cool, wet spring directly into heat and humidity.

@ciao_bellait's that "balance" I want.  I don't like extremes either.  Too hot and I'm cranky, too cold and I'm cranky.  No pleasing me when it comes to weather.

I love Spring.  But Spring always feels like Fall and then heads right into Summer.  I hardly ever know we've had it.

@gertrudecloset :

Fall is actually warmer than spring since it follows the summer.

And less humid, thankfully.

I love the whole renewal motto of spring.  8)
