I hope we don't have a trifecta this year. A nice rainy monsoon (no humidity) would be nice.

But under federal law, states aren’t allowed to stay on permanent daylight time without congressional approval. That means Washington’s law won’t take effect unless Congress acts — and, in case you haven’t noticed, Congress is a little bit busy to worry about this....
Thanks for the info on Washington, state. Now, how do YOU feel about spring forward/fall back? I'm not concerned with politics in here @SeaMaiden . If you care to respond about the temperature, daylight and sunlight that's fine, but this is not a political thread so let's don't go there.
@gertrudecloset WHAT I was saying is that THE PEOPLE of Washington state want the time change to stop....but it is out of our hands...it was not a political statement...it was FACT.

I definitely love the Fall back time of year because I hate the heat and humidity. When it comes and it does, I am left without motivation or energy,.
With that being said, I do like the spring when it is mild during the day and cooler at night. Unfortunately the weather often goes from cold to hot and visa versa. Spring is a very brief time. All in all I may complain about the hot weather but I do not wish any time away.

Next week starts daylight savings time, I am so very happy (but will be complaining about the heat) in no time! LOL.
Do you guys like Fall Back, Spring Forward?
I live in Arizona. It is 87 today. We do not observe daylight savings because we already have enough light and heat.![]()

Nope! I never look forward to "springing ahead" because that means summer is coming. Argh.

Well, yeah! You gave us factual POLITICAL information which has nothing to do with the topic of the thread. So, there's that....If you didn't plan on participating the way everyone else did why did you bother?
@SeaMaidenI've witnessed a thread close too many times because things veer off course. No one else talked about their state's legislature and how busy they were. We're talking about seasons and daylight savings time and PERSONAL PREFERENCES. Not the goings on of state's governing body. Big difference!![]()

Can't wait!
I love the days getting longer in the spring anyway, and the change of the clocks to advance the daylight more to the evening really picks up my spirits.
I wish we would stay on daylight savings time year round. I do know that it would make it very dark in the early morning (wintertime) for rush hours and kids getting to school, which isn't really a great thing, and one good reason not to have it year round, but if I could change mother nature, I'd make the sun rise every day no later than 6 am and stay light until after 9 pm. The more light a day has, the better I feel both physically and mentally.

I've learned to adapt to both because I have to but I would much prefer standard time year-round.

I can do that, so long as I get extra hour of sunlight in winter! LOL @Silver Lining
