Don't know if it does anything but I love playing Scramble with Friends. Sort of Boggle on your device. Find words within a time limit against your friends. Certain tiles are hilighted for double or triple points. Longer words are worth more. A combo of Scrabble and Boggle.

I recently fell down the Online Scrabble rabbit hole, and can't find my way out .... Now I read it's very good for the brain, so I'm keeping this addiction! ![]()

I do sudoku puzzles regularly and am learning a new language + continually studying another.
I'm enjoying all the wise-crack answers!
ETA: Oh, and I play Scrabble on-line, too. Does it count if I forgot about it?

Good for you! What are you studying?
I just passed my licensing exams for Life/Health/Disability agent & broker. Plus extra CE for Small business and individual insurance. I was terrified - I haven't taken exams in years.
But the stress paid off and I passed with good grades...now I think I want to get a real estate license too.

I've played Words w Friends too. Sometimes it is the luck of the drawing of the tiles. What do you do with 4 i i i i. Scramble makes the 2 opponents on an even ground since both are using the same letters. I also enjoy Sudoku too but haven't done one in a while.

Hey -- back atcha! I returned to school and graduated with an RN in 2013; now I'm starting a BSN. Still waiting for transcripts from other schools to show up. I'd thought the ones from my California university would take time: They needed to be translated into English from the original hieroglyphics. Strangely, those were sent out immediately.
It's my New Mexico transcripts that are taking forever. Why am I surprised? It's New Mexico.
Congrats to you -- those exams not only keep your brain working, but they keep your heart pumping. Sometimes a little faster than we'd like, but it's a rush, isn't it?

What an odd question. My mom and her sister passed way when they were in their 80's and mentally, cognitively; both were as sharp as tacks. I can say for the same for most elders that I know. I don't think any of them did anything special. Just living your life, REALLY living it. Going out and about, being with people, reading, hobbies, being part of the world are enough to stay sharp.
