I would call the company's customer / quality service.
Just to let them know that your model is peeling.
Who knows.......maybe others who have that model have the same problem.
The plastic (or whatever) interior might be defective. Not properly formulated (or whatever).

@mizmac, I'll get a new microwave.

Get rid of that microwave. It's not safe to use if it's peeling.

Never had that problem at all.

I've never seen it peeling either. My microwave is 36 years old.

I have never had one peel. But we have needed a new one for a long time now. Ours is 19 years old and it is pretty yuck on the inside. The style of the front matches the stove right below it, which is why I have been putting it off. I will not be able to replace one with the same style front.

I never had one peel. I replaced it in my kitchen but my prior microwave is 32 years old, and sitting in the game room as a spare. Heats coffee and makes popcorn. The only thing is the inside was a bit yellowed from age. White inside. Outside looks great.
I replaced with a new, smaller microwave, a Farberware, going strong after 5 years in my kitchen. The inside of this one is gray.

Add to that the food spatter and that will get super-heated on the walls during cooking which can weaken the paint. I would wipe down the condensation after it gets there, along with any food spatters and leave the door open for a short while to air it out after cooking. Make sure the oven doesn't have the exterior exhaust part restricted or blocked.
@SilleeMee that happened to someone I know. She never used a vented cover and always set it at 3-4 minutes and never cleaned her microwave often. By the time she started cleaning it everything was stuck on and the spots turned black She used cleaning supplies no one else used and then it started peeling. She was told to get rid of it, bought another one and it's as clean as a whistle.

@newjersey Call the manufacturer & report back on what they told you.
My 31 yr old Sharp microwave is still going strong. Never heard of one peeling.
I would be really concerned as that sounds defective to me or you are using an abrasive cleaner.
@Mz iMac that's a very good idea. Hope @newjersey does call the Manufacturer.

@newjersey I would want to know if it's something I did that caused the peeling, maybe the cleaner I used? You said it's not that old. Suppose it's a manufacturer defect? It's just a question, who knows, they just might send you a new one.
