An article on FB says everyone wants to live there but since we can't we secretely want to dress and act and be just like Californians. Well, I hate to break their bubble but there is absolutely NOTHING about California that makes me want to be there. First of all the "youth culture" - it's like it's a crime to get older. The crowds and traffic - esp. around the LA area. The extreme high cost of living. Then there are earthquakes, fires and landslides. On the pro side there is great vweather - but we have great weather in Fl.too - and other parts of the country. Some people really love winter and winter sports.
Am I the only one not secretly yearning to be a Californian as the article says? I doubt it.

How do I feel about it? I'm not buying one even if QVC makes it the TSV!
- Honestly. It is California. I don't spend much time thinking about it. But, then, I'm in Florida... lol

I have nothing against California, however I like living in New York. Each state has it's pros and cons. I think my state is beautiful.

Not Me. DH's sister & her family live there. She has tried to get us to visit the past 41 yrs. Not interested. I would freak out over that traffic & the thought of an earthquake.
I have been there when I was a kid. We went to Disney World when we came back from Hawaii.
I also pass on NY. Not interested in being in large populated areas.

We have a lot of relatives in California. I absolutely love LA/
San Diego, but I would not want to live there. The traffic is crazy. Besides the beautiful weather and gorgeous flora, I love the fact that there is very little humidity in California. I don't perspire at all when I visit there, and I am a person who has hyperhidrosis of the head and face.
While it is wonderful to visit CA, it is also wonderful to get back to our four seasons.

I love Cally to visit but I wouldn't want to live there.
I'm scared that one day soon, it will be many mini islands somewhere in the Pacific after the "big one."

Well, a few weeks ago the op wrote a scathing post about how she can't stand people from the northeast and how horrible they are. I guess she's now moved on to California!

A dear friend lives in the Bay area. It is stunningly beautiful. San Francisco is a gorgeous city and the entire area is just amazing. I've also been to the Los Angeles/Hollywood area. I'm happy to say I've seen all the well-known tourist areas of California. I wouldn't want to live there but I'm very happy to have seen the best of California.
