{#emotions_dlg.laugh} I had to laugh at this thread "prying eyes"? are you for real O/P? Nothing is secret anymore!

Harsh but true.

If you put something on the internet, it's out there FOREVER. So if you don't want everyone in the world to know what you've posted, don't post it, at all, in any way, shape, or form.

Yahoo, google, msn, apple - all reserve the right to read your emails in their terms of service.

And of course - there is the NSA.

OMG .... have you all read Facebook's TERMS OF USE ???? {#emotions_dlg.scared}

If not .... you better!!! .... You're signing your life away! {#emotions_dlg.crying}

Re: How do I protect my e-mail from prying eyes?

I don't see a log out button on my gmail. I've never been concerned because DH is the only one that has access to this computer and he couldn't care less about my email. Its sort of like the contents of my purse, he won't go in there, either. So just in case, where is the button?

I have to laugh when I read warnings like this. If you have ever been online, not just FaceBook, your privacy is gone. Every post you've made on this board is there for the end of time. The same is true for the e-mail you send. You have to be smart about what you post no matter what site.

I'm not understanding how someone is using your email account to send email. When was the last time you changed your password? And also, be sure to sign out when you're done using it.

It took me forever to figure that out - while logged into gmail, at the very top-right corner there should be a blue circle with a blob-person graphic in it - click that once, it asks if you want to sign out. Try that. Smile
