Multiple charities call me every other day asking for donations. They used to only call from around May through July. I guess it seems like they are calling alot because it is during that span of months. Anyways, I picked three charities to give to. One of them is the National Police and State Trooper Association. They called the other day and I agreed to give to them. Well, yesterday a charity with a similar name called and asked if I'd donate. I said, "you just called yesterday and I said I'd give". They said "We don't have you in our system as giving for this year".
I'm starting to think that all these charities are fake and that I shouldn't give to any of them. But the ones I give to "Police and State Trooper Association", "Firefighters Association", and "Sherrif's Association" all send me decals when I donate to them.
Do any of you give to charities? How can you tell which ones are fake and which ones are real?
