My best friend's sister was dating his brother....They lived in Toronto. Best friend and I road tripped during collge to T.O. in December 1990. It was luv at first sight. We'll be married 20 years this August....I can't get rid of that Canadian guy....

He was a new culinary school grad working as a line cook and I was a waitress working my way through nursing school. 35 years later he's a well regarded chef/restauranteur and I'm an RN manager.

My school roommate talked me into meeting a dorm mate of her fiance.

She bugged me for quite awhile to do it because she told me he was very sad due to a breakup with his girlfriend.

We dated for a year then kind of went our separate ways. We kept in touch from time to time, like a Christmas card.

About 10 years later we decided to get together for my birthday. We started to date again. We were married for 29 years on March 30.

Mutual friends. We'd been around each other socially a few times, and he asked me out. Best last first date ever. I knew I'd marry him a month later, and we married less than a year after our first date.
