How can I soften the look of iphone pictures?

I notice that so many pictures of people on FB and blogs look so perfect.How can I soften faces on my iphone pics? Anyone have a good app?

I was told you can ""edit"" the pic -- I tried and worked great both from my iPad & phone. Although my dear niece tells me selfies are better taken in bathroom light ---- hmmm should I believe her!!!

I think it has all to do with the lighting! Pictures taken outside on my iPad are great, inside, not so great!

My favorite photo editing app is called Camera+. FingerFocus & XnViewPhoto are both fun apps to get started....and I just discovered Snapseed which gives amazing depth to photos. But again, Camera+ app has SO many applications.
