I saw it. I prefer older cars.

Noel, I have heard about this too, regarding smart TVs. That's pretty scary.

Even when the tv is off. Xb0x one is the worst.

I do, too. Or at least a new car built like an older car. Too much to go wrong with a computer car.

I think so, too. And if they can listen in, I assume a hacker can also.

Re: How Vulnerable Is Your Car?

There's also a big concern that hackers could actually make a car unable to start, and when the owner goes back into the house/mall/office etc, they can start the car and remotely have it drive itself away ..... thus, stealing the car without ever getting into it! {#emotions_dlg.crying}

That's why I don't have "smart" anything. I'd rather keep my phone very dumb. Just a few calls now and then and texting. That's it.

And my car is a 2012 Kia, very nice, we love it. Nothing smart about it, it does what it's told to do by us.

I just cannot allow myself to worry about all of the ""what could happen""... I live in MA and not a big fan of Markey.

I agree - people can make themselves insane worrying about what they have little to no control over.

I don't know anyone that actively worries as you describe. It's about being aware of what goes on around you.
