Geez, just thinking of all the money I've saved by not being a coffee drinker all my life.

I thought the Keurig guy wanted to take his life because he gave some thought to all the waste/plastic going into the landfills - he felt responsible.  I can understand, I mean folks don't really think out their ideas fully.  They just think if the profits.

As far as weak and watery coffee...it takes some experimenting to get the right blend you prefer to avoid this. Keurig sells sample packs so you don't have to commit to one you don't care for.

I have found that medium to bold roasts take care of the the weak, watery taste.

We like it because some drink regular and the some drink decaf.

i have purchased jet fuel, black tiger, major dickasons.......all of them still taste pretty weak to me.

There is also the option to buy the My k-cup and put your own coffee in it, in the amount that satisfies you.  I don't understand people complaining about the weak/watery coffee.  Stop buying the k-cups.

i have used the my k-cup feature also with my own bold/dark coffees.......they STILL dont come out tasting like they should......bold and strong......and changing the amount of water doesnt do anything either. the strength is just not there. i am sticking with my good old mr coffee coffee maker.

We have one someplace in this house.  We used it every day for about a month.  The novelty wore off quickly.

The Cornngware coffeepot was recalled several years ago due to possible failure of the glue that holds the steel band to the corningware.  The burn which could result would be very serious.  I discaarded mine immediately, even though I loved it.

Nope, don't own one. Not interested. It's just an expensive way to drink prepared and prepackaged items.

We burn anything burnable. Our trash is only glass and metal.

Re: How Many of You Own a KEURIG?

I have one of the very old ones (purchased at Costco).  K-cups were expensive until Costco started carrying them.  I don't like weak coffee so I use Tully's French Roast.  It is still going strong but I wish the coffee came out hotter.  I drink it black but if someone would want cream it would not be hot.  Mine is VERY loud.  With all I have read on these threads over time about the problems my next single serve pot with be the Bunn.

You do realize that burning plastic is NOT good for the environment right? Recycling it is much much better than burning it.
