How Do You Decide On Your Next Book?

I have a stack of books my mom gave to me, a stack of Dean Koontz my boss gave to me, a few that I have bought and my ever growing library list from all of you. Plus I have a spread sheet of some authors that I recorded all of their books, I like to make an X next to the ones I read. Want to read all their books, yikes. I have been recording all my books I have read, on my sheet and when I like an author, they get their own page with all their books listed. I'm weird, LOL

it's so hard to choose, I usually just alternate between my choices. how do you choose?
