Hi, mistri! I’ll take a shot at it. When using certain mobile devices, particularly older models, the only way to quote is by inserting your comments at the top of the quotes. When this is done, sometimes the person inadvertently edits the portion that was supposed to be quoted and not edited. It appears this is what's happening with Lavinia. My guess is she somehow managed to get the magazine name in the place of your nickname.

But, how did the date get changed? It seems like, if there was some sort of accidental deletion or something that the date would simply not appear at all. It didn't disappear; it was changed from 3/24/2014 to 3/23/2014. I know you can't tell in the original post of this thread, but if you go to the linked thread, you can see the dates, instead of "NaN/NaN/NaN at NaN:NaN AM."

When you click on "Quote" the entire text becomes editable. So, in trying to "clean up" the post it's very easy (and common -- I've seen it numerous times) to change words, names, and numbers without meaning to.

I was just looking at the first page of Viewpoints...is someone bumping up old threads again?

I don't know if I saw all the posts that were like that on the thread but I thought the OP was doing that to posts she answered on the thread because maybe thought it showed the conversation better?

They all look like current threads to me, mistri. What do you see?

I keep clicking on "Viewpoints" and I see only old threads--and not this one--listed. What is going on?

At the top of the threads, you need to click on "Recent threads" instead of "Popular threads."

Edited to add: Where it says "Sort by:"

I can see the recent threads now...but I didn't click on "Recent threads," I just cleared my cookies.

That has never happened before. I usually only clear my cookies when the pages are taking too long to load. I've never had it happen before that I couldn't see the recent threads.

But I never clicked on "Popular Threads." I've always had it set to "Recent Threads," and that's what always shows up when I sign on.
