Stuff happens on live TV as was the case months ago on the southern channel.  The gal was presenting a waterproof liner.  She angled her way to the bowl filled with water and poured the water over her hand which displayed the shades.  Took a washcloth and wiped.  They all came off just as she said, "...and they won't come (the liners disappear) and you could barely hear her finish her sentence with "off".  The look of horror on her face was indescribable.

 Shawn the shameless. LOL The host is there to sell the product, she doesn't care if it really works or not. She might be more interested if the product worked if she only got paid a percentage of what the customer actually kept.

Uh.....no.  But the title of the thread has one particular host's name in it, singled out, as if no one but that one particular host could or would ever possibly say what she said, when in reality, any host might have said it, reading scripted material, and one shouldn't believe what ANY/ALL hosts claim while they are selling.

The OP stated a fact.  The fact is that it was Shawn who uttered that assurance. You are stating conjecture, inference, projection, whatever.  There's the difference. Other hosts might have stated the same lie, but, the OP is citing the presentation she saw. Not everyone watches QVC all day to compare/contrast who else said it. You can’t complain about what you didn't see/hear. 

I happened to see the presentation the OP saw, and, I was flabbergasted  that Shawn said that...more than once and emphatically  (whether or not she knew the truth about the item).

I didn't take it that the OP was indicting the host, but, the lie. Someone (the execs, hosts, vendor,....) was lying.

I started a post on here the minute I saw the model's hair get stuck in that thing!

I wondered if anyone else saw it happen.  The poor girl was so embarrassed and her look kept saying, "Get the camera away and OUCH".  She kept tugging on her hair.

If it had not looked so painful it would have been funny!  I would think you need to have a certain kind of hair and know how many strands to fit in that thing.

Just looking at it you can tell it could easily get your hair tangled around the wrong part of the thing!  I don't have much hair, I sure don't want anything that could cause me to lose it to a gadget!  Ha!

Uh-huh.

Threads are started on these forums some days every hour on the hour, however they are disguised, to bash this particular host. 

To believe that *this* Original Post would be the sole exception?

I'll hang onto my skepticism, thanks.
