Hot coffee (at least 190degrees)? What coffee makers can do this?

Any suggestions out there? It sure ain't Keurig, B &D, or Mr. C!,

I have a Keurig Platinum and it is supposed to brew at 192 or something like that. I have tested the temp as the water comes out and it never has been over 175. We have it set on the hottest it will go. I also had another one that was the same. I think that is plenty hot enough, I love my Keurig.

I have a Cuisinart Keurig brewer. It is set at 192 degrees, the hottest setting.

Today, preheated the coffee mug by filling with very hot water for a while. If you take a mug out of your cabinet, especially in the winter, it can be very cold and that will cool down the coffee quite a bit.

I put a thermometer in the cup and and used the hot water button. The temp registered at a little over 182 degrees. As the mug set, the temp of the water started going down, and within about 30 seconds it was down to about 172 degrees. This was very hot water, and I would not want it any hotter. I would be so worried about burning my mouth, or especially if I was serving a guest coffee. As it is, if I serve a friend coffee directly from the Cuisinart, I always warn them that it is very hot.

Some people add cream, directly from the refrigerator, and of course that will cool down the coffee a lot.

I have a tassimo, and it's just right..I bought a Keurig and I sent it back, simply because of the temperature..

I believe my Keurig does. Some Keurigs do not have temperature options but it is definitely worth it to buy one that does. I always have to wait before sipping mine or I burn my tongue.

there seems to be not a lot of consistency in coffee maker temps.....regardless of what is advertised.....and coffee temp tends to be personal preference as well....we have tried to like the Keurig but it simply never has given us coffee hot enough to enjoy....the Bunn, Cuisinart, Breville, and Kitchenaid also all promised really hot coffee...but didn't happen to our satisfaction. DH now loves the Mr. Coffee switch model with no timers, thermometers, or anything else, just one on/off switch. Swears it is hotter and better than the others....so if he is happy, so am I.

My Keurig ... K75. Got an awesome deal at Costco.

Same here!!! It's great.

Our Bunn was never that hot...I'd have to microwave it shortly after to make it hot enough. Our Bunn was only a few years old too.

Have you looked into a good ol Bunn coffee maker? They're known for extremely hot coffee. Look at this one : http://www.dailycuppacoffee.com/bunn-phase-brew-ht-8-cup-thermal-carafe-home-coffee-brewer and others at Daily Cuppa Cofee.

It also helps to have a carafe that keeps it hot for longer. Are you looking for one for your home or office? I hope it's for the home because many people don't like their coffee that hot. But I'm with you on this...look into bunn

Why would you want scalding hot coffee? Doesn't it burn your mouth? How can you taste anything with blisters on your tongue?

If it's not hot enough, stick it in the microwave. {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}
