I've never seen a petition against horse-drawn carriages in NYC, but I bet a lot of people would sign it! It's not because it ties up traffic, etc... it's because horses deserve a better life! I know the drivers care about their horses and it's their livelihood but whenever there's another accident, my heart breaks!

I work at Columbus Circle, ground zero for the carriages. I've seen horses limping back to the stables. The cars, exhaust, potholes and another horse freaked by car horns and running wild... how many more horses have to die! ONE is too many!

Bloomberg WILL NOT ban them, he likes the 'charm' they add to his kingdom. They deserve to live out their lives free, safe from harm!
