Thank you. I am in shock that my ex husband of over 26 years wont even helo me.
Does your ex-husband have sole custody of your child and you have limited visitation? You can resist moving out and then fight legal eviction but you will have to vacate the apartment in due course. Moving from shelter to shelter or living in a car is dangerous enough for able-bodied people. A person who has disabling physical and/or emotional problems, and taking oxycodone three times a day for pain, must have a fixed address for his/her own safety. I think your social worker, attorney, health care providers, etc. would agree.
I hope you will seriously consider living with your sister in Colorado until you can work through the financial and legal situation with your living situation and alimony. Best of luck to you in this difficult time.

I have been renting a room from my landladys daughter for the last 4 years. I live in Cupertino, Ca, home to Apple, Google, Yahoo, Microsoft and many more high-tech companies and rents are very expensive. I live on Alimony only, and I cant work because I suffer from chronic pancreatitis, and I have flare ups about every 4 months that usually require a 4 day hospital stay. I also take oxycodone 3 times a day for pain control. Well my landlady passed away and the daughter told me I couldnt live there anymore, something about a trust set up with wells fargo. Well I have until 9/8/17 to find a place to live. I have a 11 year old son who lives with his dad and I see him on Saturdays so I am trying to stay in the area.
Well I have applied on Craigslist for rooms to rent up and down the whole bay area and what they want for a room is outrageous!!! 900.00 just to start. I only get 1200.00 a month. I have gone to the santa Clara County Housing Authority (section8) and I dont even make enough to qualify for low income housing. If it wasn't for my son I would move in with my sister in Colorado but I cant leave my son. Im afraid, my church, I asked them for help told me to move to the central valley so much for the Catholic Church. I have no options. I have applied to over 60 places. Im not in the best of health and Im going to be living in my car! My ex wont help me, I have asked all my friends. Please pray for me, I really feel like Im at the end of my rope. Thanks

@chi5925 How so? According to the Mayo Clinic the dosage depends on the patient and type of pill. 4-6 hours is a general guide for immediate release pills.
Why would you doubt her?

@shoekitty wrote:They are building the biggest, affordable, low income project in Gilroy. It is called Alexander Station . Look it up. It isn't done yet, but they are taking applications. Many of the units are based on your income. Some are allotted for disabled, others low income, some section 8. It is worth looking into. They had a huge write up in the Gilroy Dispatch in the last month.
Interesting - I hadn't heard about this. Most of the news I follow is from Santa Cruz south to Carmel. It does sound promising.

yes, they are building it. We see it all the time. I didnt really approve of where, and how many units they chose to put in one place. The , "aying, you can't fight city hall....has much meaning to me in this case😬😽

It sounds like she doesn't have a lease and is a tenant at will and goes month to month. Yes, they can evict her. They just have to give her 30 days written notice. Some places having housing courts and landlords have to go through that to evict, a tenant at will can get a little extra time if the judge orders it but not much. Property owners are not required to subsidize people just because they are poor. There are places where they don't have to go into housing court, just give the 30 day notice and if the person doesn't move, they can evict. That's the risk of not having a lease.

Taking oxycodone can lead to addiction. Many have had to go to rehab. What concerns me is what is really happening in her life. Maybe she is confused. I was wondering about her sister. Is she alive or dead?? Too many scenarios and some are questionable.
What is really happening with her son and ex husband. It does take alot of money to raise children. She is concerned about not seeing her son but if she is on heavy medication now much interaction does she have. She shouldn't be driving around with him in the car. Her judgement would be impaired
I agree with another poster something sounds off. We have never met these people and don't know what is true.
