I bought HomeWorx diffusers at Home Goods today for $9.99.  I have wanted to try them and glad to see them at this price.  Well, I spent at least 30 minutes trying to remove the stopper with tweezers, screw driver, then a wrench.  Finally got it off but what a hassle!  Anyone know of an easy way to remove these stoppers?

I also have tried everything - the only thing that works for me is plunging a small sharp knife through it.

@Biftu unscrew the decorative metal top. Take a pair of scissors and insert it in the well of the stopper and slowly pull up.  Hold tightly onto the bottle. The clear stopper pops right out.

I also use a small paring knife and slowly lift up going around opening.  It lifts up enough to then use my fingers to pop it out.

The funny thing is....the Elton John collection has totally different tops that are easy peasy to open.  Not sure why he doesn't use these for all of his diffusers.
