Rick Springfield turns 66 tomorrow! (Aug 23). Where does the time go?
I am watching concert vids someone on his staff is posting on Ricks facebook page from tonights concert in Hershey, PA. They are posting them pretty fast, right after he performs them. They just sang Happy Birthday to him and he said he will be 66 tomorrow. (And oh how I wish I was at that concert which isnt too far from me in PA).
Anyway he still sounds amazing singing!
PS) I just saw him in the Ricki and the Flash movie last week. I am a fan for years.

I thought 66 sounded old...until I had a reality check and realized my husband will be 60 in January, and I'm only a couple of years away myself. ![]()

I am 68, I thought he was way younger than me! At the height of the mania when Jess's girl first came out, I took my twin daughters( then 15) and 2 of their RS love crazed friends to see him in person. The tickets cost a fortune I thought, maybe 16 dollars@ and we had 3rd row seats, center stage!! 80 dollars in those days was a lot!! It was at the San Jose Performing Arts, and OMG. It was a night to never forget. The screaming, girls wound up falling over our seats. The screaming, did I say , screaming? And deafening roar??. I could not hear for days. I had been to the beatles in the 60's, but I was the screamer, not the screamee, LOL!
That man was so handsome, In the lobby they had a 6 ft tall cut out of Rick Springfield standing. It was so chaotic, I just walked out with it for the kids, and no one cared!! We kept it in the living room window for months! LOL! It cast a shadow at night and looked like someone was in the house standing in the window! Scared the doo doo out of me the first night I was saw it coming in very late.

he had a small role on HBO's True Detective Season 2 - I didn't EVEN recognize him in that role - either he has gotten really bad plastic surgery or they put on a ton of makeup on him to make him look so creepy...

LOL, I think once you pass 40 you age 2-3 years every year, it seems like it anyway. I remember thinking 30 was old, now 70 doesn't seem so bad. ![]()

64 used to be old to Paul McCartney, then in the blink of an eye (it seems) he turned it. Several years ago! No "changing fuses" for him at 64. Rock on, Sir Paul!

wow that is so crazy! I remember I was young when he had some of his hits (and wasn't he on a soap opera or something??) and knew he was older but I didn't realize he was my parents age!!

He was Dr. Noah Drake of General Hospital.
He's a example of how gray hair is aging. He's been making the talk show circuit lately with his natural locks. For most of his roles he obviously dyes his hair. He definitely looks younger on screen.
By the way, he's in the new AARP magazine.
