We were surprised to see the trucks roll into the village carrying "The Lost Bus" vehicles, props, and equipment. They are here doing "fill in" scenes and exteriors.  Matthew McConaughey's stunt double was in his scenes. (No stunts. Just substituting for the actor.)

It is a small mountain village (Ruidoso) in Southern New Mexico. It is being filmed as the town of Paradise, CA that was the victim of a devastating forest fire.

I did a post "Hollywood Was Here!" that had a pictorial storyline of 5 days of the filming in early April. You can find it using the Community search option. It has photos of Matthew McConaughey and the director filming scenes. It was the most excitement this village has had in a long time.

Ruidoso is a little piece of heaven.  I love the small town feel.  It is beautiful.

I've met a woman who lost everything in the devastating fire in Paradise. She was living with my neighbor her friend until she could rebuild. She was so devastated beyond what I could comprehend 😢

Maybe McConaughey couldn't find his pants so had to send his stunt double.
