Carolyn had them on yesterday. The Halo set of 3 telescoping magnetic flashlights.

QVC goes into full blown Christmas every year at this time. It's what they do, we all know that. These days, I rarely watch any QVC tv show, so I don't even notice. But back in the day when I did watch a lot of QVC, I'd tune out from early October until late November when I go into Christmas mode. It gave me an opportunity to check out the other shopping channels.

I watched a couple of shows in September, but I do not need any Christmas decor. I have lots of pieces that I collected over the years, which the quality and price point not to mention uniqueness far exceeds what are even in the stores today. I did also purchase alot of Lisa Robertson's Christmas items over the past two years that she presented....even got alot as, "as is" items and they are stunning and exquisite. I love them all. My exact taste in decorating and I miss her designs! Once she left, the few shows I have seen are mostly old items they are trying to get rid of or else "ho-hum" items I am certainly not interested in purchasing! Lisa's presence is greatly missed....oh well, money in my pocket, lol!

Oh, another thing....I wish the Q would bring back Tiffany Style Lighting! I have several of there lamps, beautiful pieces and great price point, and they need to get those kind of shows back.
Also, I have several Royal Palace rugs in my home. I have hardwood floors, LOVE..throughout, but it seems those shows are no longer at the Q! What is going on?

Instead of October-December being the best 3 months of programming, I find myself watching less and less. SPURT's humerous review of the weekend's programming is spot on.

That is why I have always had a time shifting device since the late 1960's. Only watch the programs I want to see and for me to do otherwise is just wasting my time.
VHS-VCR/SVHS/DVD Recorder/and now mostly our Hopper/Joey DVR System.
Ain't got one yet? Send it on your list to Santa and see what happens. =^..^=

Clearly, if holiday items were not selling, they would choose other programming.
As none of us are forced to watch, and QVC products are not necessities, perhaps those not interested in holiday shows could simply behave like adults and change the channel. Do something useful or educational, perhaps, as whining about shopping channel programming is a bit silly.
Oh the sanctimony of it all...

For me, it isn't about them over-doing the holidays, it's about HOW they over-do them. I'm no more interested in the same array of schlock, trinkets, stocking stuffers, over-priced food and so on... being presented day in and day out than I was last year, or the year before that, or the year before that...
I don't fault them for starting early (and often...) because all retailers push Christmas and particularly being a mail-order entity, they have to get it out there early (and often...) in order to maximize their take.
The only holiday 'programming' I've enjoyed on Q in recent years were Lisa's decorating shows and with her having flown the coop, well, there's probably very little of their holiday-specific programming I'll opt to watch. Meanwhile, their all too frequently programmed 'generic' gift shows are just a big no-no, in my book. I don't care at all for Jill, so I certainly won't be tuning in to her Friday night 'miniseries'... 'Miniseries' huh? Rolling my eyes at that one. Why, anyone would think those in the know are assuming their operation should have an entertainment component... Go figure...

You might check Evine Live for Tiffany style lighting. In fact, I thing their Top Value tomorrow will be a light of some type.
The are some excellent Internet sites where you can get great quality area rugs, most all with free shipping. I've had excellent luck. As for what's going on with Royal Palace...I think the trend is for more contemporary rugs.
