Key 'Festivus' traditions:
 
    • An unadorned aluminum pole replaces a Christmas tree as a symbol against commercialism; it should be bare. 
       
    • After dinner, each person gets to vent about how others have disappointed them during the year. 
       
  • The celebration concludes with the head of the household being wrestled until they are pinned. 
     
  • Any slightly non-routine event can be humorously labeled a "Festivus miracle". 
     
  • Traditional Dinner: 
    Often features meatloaf or spaghetti on a bed of lettuce, as seen in the Seinfeld episode.
