Holiday Memories - Post them here

I have The Chew on in the background, and they are discussing the holidays.

What are your favorite memories of Holidays Past?

Michael mentioned that when he and his sister were young they would get up around 4am on Christmas morning......it reminded me of my sister and me. We would get up before the crack of dawn and try to sneak downstairs to see if Santa visited. My parenets would always catch us and send us back to our rooms. Those next couple of hours were the most torturous hours!!! Payback was a byotch......my kids used to do the same thing.{#emotions_dlg.laugh}

Christmas Eve was a big sitdown dinner with family at my grandmother's house and Christmas Day was a day of family visits (we all lived in the same area) and then a big sitdown dinner with aunts, uncles and cousins. We didn't have a large home and it was always very crowded, but those were the best of times.

What are your fond (or not so fond) memories?
