The rise in postage stamps don't bother me. I think we all use the mail less for letters, bills and x
cards...., so costs to mail sort of even out. I am just so grateful we have a post office! I wouldn't want them to close. So many people don't pay bills by mail, not to mention we don't write letter like we used to . Birthday and holiday card mailings are down. Sad in a way. But the world has changed since the 3 cent stamps of my youth. If you wanted to communicate with friends relatives out of your area back in the day you wrote! Wrote letters! I loved getting letters!!! The poor Post Office has had business cut so much last ten years! Luckily e commerce is the future. As the PO become more competitive with parcels.... it will keep going!

@Desertdi The USPS is indeed delivering mail on Friday, July 3, as normal. It's Saturday, the holiday, that will not see mail delivery, and no mail as usual on Sunday.
There is NO USPS home delivery in my neighborhood at all. Never Ever -- unless it's Special Delivery. Gotta go get it...
This is heat-related.
I live where you live, but on the other side of the mountain. Sorry, but there is mail delivery today, and it's actually kind of nice out.
Right now, it's only 97 degrees, positively balmy for Phoenix in July! ![]()
