Hemingway Home and Museum, Key West

The curator and employees are riding out the storm there with 54 cats!

I hope the structure is as secure as the curator contends that it is.

I am praying for the safety of all of them.  The Hemingway House was expected to be destroyed in the storm, but I hope that it survives.  It is a beautiful home and a wonderful part of history.  Of course, my heart is with those cats.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

There is already a long thread on this subject.  These people are extremely foolish to stay when the cats could have easily been relocated and would have been much safer.  They may perish also.   The director of this museum must not have a lick of common sense.

Mariel Hemmingway is beside herself over this and begged them to pack up the cats and go but they all refused.  Good thoughts and prayers that that house is as sturdy as they think it is.

I hope and pray they survive this storm.  The FL keys is the last place I would be in this storm.

@Kachina624

I didn't know there was another thread about this and I really didn't start it to slam anyone.

I hope they all survive..

My orange cat would definintely refuse.

I'd have to stay behind with him.

Its okay @QueenDanceALot.  This story is so atrocious it could use two threads.
