First of all, this isn't my house. My DH is fixing a house up to sell. It has a huge open living, dining and kitchen. It has vaulted ceilings. The vaulted ceilings are wood stained dark to match the cabinets. The trim around all the windows are dark. The floor is real wood which is light oak.
Would you have the baseboard light oak to match the floors or dark to match the window trim, cabinets and ceiling.
I can't decide if the baseboards would tie the floor in with the trim and cabinets or if it would look like a dark stripe around the floor.
The walls are painted a neutral light tannish color.
White is not an option since nothing is painted white in this room.
Thank you for your opinions.
This room is very light and airy since it is so big, and it has lots of windows. It also has lots of can lights in the ceiling. I didn't want you to picture a dark room.
