Re: Help with Frigidaire Stove top

I used to have one of these glass cooktops.

Things boil over from time to time, no matter how careful you are.

It's not a big deal and it's to be expected. If you use a razor and gently scrape, you can get it off, and work most of it off with the cream, too.

If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need.--Marcus Tullius Cicero

This relationship just sounds so romantic, doesn't it?

I love it when a man says, "Don't Touch My Stove"

I'd be like "Woowhoooo!" I hate to cook!

Wonder how he feels about vacuum cleaners and washers/dryers? I could manage to break all of them if it would get me out of those chores too.

Toilets, what could I do to not have to clean them?

Didn't Garth Brooks record it? "Don't Touch My Stove"?

I think so, but wasn't it "Don't Touch My Stove and Leave My Pot in the Oven"?

Re: Help with Frigidaire Stove top

You should never walk away from food cooking on a stove top. There have been at least three horrible fires here in the past month that all started because someone started something on the stove and walked away intended to just be a minute but then got distracted.

I'm guessing your BF was more upset at the potential of fire than a bit of burnt on food on his stove top.

These work great in preventing boil overs. Q used to sell them. I just looked and they don't sell them anymore but you can get them on Amazon. I have a couple and they do work.

So close. But I think it was "Don't Touch my Stove But Leave my Bun in the Oven".

I have one of those also, soxfan, and it works well. That said, this cooking arrangement sounds strange. When my SO is a guest in my home, I cook something that both of us will enjoy. He does the same when we are at his home (or we cook together). They both seem a bit self-centered, which gives this relationship a very short shelf life, in my opinion.
