Hi all,
I recently posted to get name suggestions for my mom's new female Morkie - still haven't honed in on one. Mom is waiting to see one of her granddaughter's list of names which she will get tomorrow. My new question is how to get the puppy to like being in her crate, especially at night. She whines and cries and can't stand it. She doesn't even like when mom closes her off to the rest of the house by using a doggie room divider that she can see out of. She's a little drama queen in the making. I've heard before to put something in the crate that reminds the dog of it's owner as they find this comforting, so tonight mom's going to try putting one of her old night shirts in the crate and we'll see if it helps. I know my own dogs didn't like the crate either, but I don't remember them being so vocal about their protests. It's keeping poor mom up most of the night! Anxiously awaiting your helpful replies, Gloria
