My kitty is on an antibiotic for a UTI and I cannot for the life of me get it in him! It is a liquid. I can get it in his mouth okay and I am pretty sure he swallows but then he gags and coughs and out it comes every time. I have tried mixing it with a small amount of his food and giving that to him before his actual feeding when I know he wants to eat and he won't touch that either. I have tried the stinkiest food I can think of in addition to his regular food. Any other suggestions?
I am wondering if I should take him back to the vet and see if they can give him a shot instead.
Any tips you can share would be greatly appreciated.
