Help for a Scrapbooking Newbie, Please!

I know nothing about scrapbooking, but plan to attempt my first 2 in honor of mine & DD's beloved pets who recently passed away.

One thing I can't figure out is how in the heck do you attach 'vellux'?

I have some 'vellux' sayings about pets that came in a kit, but have no idea how to attach them.

Since they're clear, it seems like the glue dots would show?

I apologize in advance if this is a totally stupid question and would appreciate any help!{#emotions_dlg.blush}
