Help for Poodles Bad Breath

WE have had some of her teeth pulled a while back so I know there is a problem with her teeth, however I need something to help with the bad breath .I cannot use anything that requires me to open her mouth and spray it in , it is impossible. I have tried several that you put into the water but nothing seems to really help , any recommendations? She is 12 yrs old .
