...I know it's supposed to be wrapped in foil--but for how long?
Thanks.

I don't wrap mine in foil, just roast over hot coals for about 12 minutes. Turn every 2-3 minutes. I remove the husk and silk first.

I peel the husk down but don't remove, and take off the silk. Pull the husk back over the cob and soak in water for about 5 minutes for the grill, or 1/2 hour if thrown into coals or fire.
On the grill I cook them about 10 minutes turning often- I imagine this would take as long for foil covered corn.

This is exactly how I cook mine, the corn comes out perfect everytime.

I roast it in the husk until I smell 'corn'--works for me. Time depends on the size of the ear.
I don't grill outside, just in a very hot oven.
Edit--I don't use foil, just the husks to protect the moisture. Time in a hot oven varies depending on whatever else I have in there, so I can't say. I just smell 'corn' and know it's ready.

I cooked some a week or so ago on the grill. I peeled them, coated them with butter, sprinkled parmesan cheese on them along with some parsley flakes, wrapped them in foil, put them on the grill a few minutes before the steaks and when the steaks were done, the corn was done.
