In every presentation of Wen cleansing conditioner the host is holding a tray of what this product can eliminate.  However all of those products are for sale in the Wen family.

From what I can remember when the ancillary products were first introduced it was because customers asked for them.  They were still using products like mousse that counteracted the cleansing conditioner advantages.

And yes, it's also a sales tactic. 😉

the entire wen concept seems like a scam to me. The two ppl I know who use it have shoulder length hair that looks thIn and limp. Not attractive

I still use only the cleansing conditioner for my hair but I use a couple of body products for my dry skin.

I love the quality of WEN. It's nourishing, smells amazing and is wonderful for my hair. However I stopped using it because you have to use a LOT for just shoulder length hair. At it isn't cheap. I do see they aren't as exspensive as it used to be though. Also you have to really work at rinsing it out with a lot of water. More work than I was willing to do. If I ever go to short hair I will get again but can't do it with longer hair.

Wrong is still wrong just because you benefited from it.

Haha, I know it's funny right @Bonkers1 ? However, it seems like many others do the same. And like another post, the companies such as WEN come out with other products due to customer requests.

Laundry Detergents : Many offer fabric softener, stain removal, and freshener in one yet they sell all these products separately.

Skin care : Olay 5 in 1 serum, PTR that does 5 things, IT CC cream, etc. Most do what others have done, they say they offer one product that can do many things but also offer each product separately.

We just have to find what works best for us I guess.

I have tried it twice since QVC started selling it. The secod time my hairdresser told me to dump it, that it was ruining my hair. I've never gone back to it.

Re: Help Me Understand

[ Edited ]

( My experience): Cleansing conditioners are mostly helpful for people who have very dry, textured hair- For this type of hair (mine, unfortunately)- regular shampoo strips the natural oils, making the hair even more dry and super-prone to frizzing. So retaining the natural oils in the hair while cleansing is a valid concept, and he brought it-  so that was genius to me! My whole life, I've struggled with ugly hair from June- September. This does help.
If you have "normal" hair, ( not dry
notfrizz-prone), I'm not sure why you'd be using this. However, nowadays, there are tons of other CC choices that are not as pricey- Thats what I use.
ETA: I only wash my hair once a week, otherwise it's like hay- So I just don't go through a lot of product!

@Skyegirl21 Your experience is interesting. I have thick, dry, coarse, frizzy and naturally wavy hair. I used WEN for a couple years then I have found better products to manage my unruly hair.

On the other hand, my daughter has finer, more "normal" hair and loved WEN.
