It seems that Winter is not quite ready to leave us yet! I live in NYC and luckily didn't get any snow. The winds though are crazy and it is cold. There were places in the tri-state area that did get snow. I went food shopping and the wind was blowing me forward! I'm not a Yankee fan (Mets fan opening tonight) and opening day does not look promising weather wise.

Our winds are extremely high (thunder storms over night, snow showers this morning).

Looking out my kitchen window, I see that my neighbor behind me has lost a section of fencing-- it was a solid fence with latice on top, and the whole section of boards are down or hanging loose like a tooth.

Crazy weather.

We're having the same weather. I’ve gotten spoiled with the early warm temperatures. It was in the 80’s a couple of days ago and this morning it was in the 20’s with wind chill - gusts up to 60 miles an hour.  I guess it’s that time of year – shorts and T-shirts one day and winter coats the next.   My body wants to stay in shorts. Smiley Happy

Sitting on sofa looking out the windows and yes, there it is, snow on the trees and lawn.   Blooms on my magnolia and flowering pear trees froze and its a sad sight.

Oh well...what can one do.  At least the sky is blue and the sun is out.

It was a breezy 58º this morning for church. I almost wore one of my leather pant suits, but decided it is spring. My winter things can wait till December.

@Jordan2, I'm in NYC, as well.  I was planning to do some weeding and pruning in my backyard today.  Instead, I'm trying to think of ways to protect some shrubs that already have buds on them.  I'm afraid I might lose them over the next 2-3 nights as the temps may fall to freezing or below, and I'd hate to have to wait another year to see any blooms.  Simply crazy....80 degrees on Friday, and 34 degrees as I write this at 12:50 pm on Sunday.

I'm in Southern NY state and it was in the 20's this AM. I always walk the few blocks to get the Sunday papers, but to my dismay, the sidewalks were a glare of ice, believe me I walked gingerly!!  I guess it rained last night before it got snowy and cold. Anyway Spring can't come soon enough !

Pittsburgh Pirates are playing their opener now.  It really looks strange to see all the fans in winter coats and hats.  Its 40 degrees.
