I went to turn on our 2 yr old furnace a few days ago and it didn't go on. The company comes twice a year for maintenance and I guess the warped part was over looked. They'll be back today to replace it with the new part.
This is a trigger for me. Years ago I was a nanny to 4 children. Their parents took a weekend in Lake Tahoe. I was on the phone with my new boyfriend now hubby and noticed smoke filling the house. I told him to call 911 so I could get all the 6 kids out, I was also watching my brother's kids. When the fire department came They immediately seemed worried. They asked if someone was here today working on anything I responded yes the Furnace. They immediately went under the house where it was located. When they came out they said 2 more minutes the house would've blown up. Their parents didn't come home early but they gave me a $100 bonus. Not kidding!!

We are still running the A/C and will be at least until for the next 10 days.  I hope you get the heat back up and running soon.
