For those of you with a heat pump, do you have the thermostat fan on "auto" or "on"?

Normally when AC is running it's on "auto", now if AC is off and it's a nice day but I want air to move around inside I migh turn it to "on".

I don't have a heat pump.  Are you all saying you don't have thermostats where you control the temperature, just off, on and fan?  I know my sister who does have one has a thermostat that she programs to come on, go off, etc.

@bobby5

Ours is always on auto, so it automatically comes on as needed for heat and cooling.

If our thermostat is set on the "on" setting, the heat pump runs continuously without turning off.

@Kachina624    My heat pump has a separate option to let the fan run continually, independently of the heating or cooling.

 That's kinda strange to me....since everybody has ceiling fans.....    di

No AC or whole house HEAT. Have a heat pump in our patio room. I never use Auto, I can set the Temp I want, be it AC or Heat. Usually 80° in Summer(if on), and 65° in Winter.

Our Heat Pump has: OFF/ON and AUTO/LOW/HIGH settings. Low and High are for Fan Speed.
