Some people turn their "heart" function off, (settings) so it doesn't even appear on their screen.

You may give a heart without them ever knowing it.

@x Hedge   Yep, that’s right. There is someone who doesn’t acknowledge messages to her. I had started to notice that when many times I had acknowledged her but never anything back. And she never acknowledged anyone else. I don’t usually do this but I clicked on her name and saw she has never given a heart (which is acknowledging others) to anyone. Ever. So now I know I needn’t “heart” again. It’s kind of disappointing because I wanted her to know I liked what she said.

If anyone sees that I have un-hearted them, please know that I mean no offense.  I just have trouble going bing the proper part of the screen sometimes when scrolling and reading.......🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃

Same for me. I’m on my IPhone and often accidentally click on the heart feature. It’s happened also when I’m falling  asleep and my hand taps that area. I usually undo it but wonder what I didn’t catch.

I never really understood how to use them, so I don't! I know- I'm really behind the learning curve on this!  Smiley Wink

Likewise, my tablet often slips in my hand as I walk from room to room, and my thumb squashes down on every part of the screen as I grab to keep from dropping it.

Later I see I've posted blanks and given out hearts with my thumb without knowing it. It's all good. ☺

  Check this out.

I give hearts. I get hearts.

But I know I'm not the only one here who never, ever intentionally taps that red notification square.

The number just reads a constant 99+ .

I take frequent breaks away from here, so that in itself breaks up most conversations. I may or may not revisit a thread I previously posted on, and come across a reply to my post. Could be weeks have passed since then.

Yes, some posters have the heart feature turned on, they know they get hearts, but never heart any post. I've run across maybe six or eight who just don't participate in that aspect of posting.
