I responded a few weeks ago to a thread on hearing aids, and was surprised by how many members here contributed. Anyway, I just got my first pair of hearing aids at Costco today and so far I really like them! It's almost like wearing nothing, but I can hear so much better. Sad thing is, the day before I went to Costco, I went to an office (referred by my primary physician) that wanted to charge me $6,400 for a pair. The research I've done shows that price is on target, but who the heck wants to pay that much? Costco charged me $2599, and I am very happy so far. From what I've heard and read, after just a few hours of new hearing aids, the wearer is ready to yank them out. I've had these in since 2:30 and I've almost forgotten I have them in. I hope this info helps someone else who needs or is considering hearing aids. I also hope I feel the same way tomorrow! :-)
