Spoiler

I find it outrageous that our healthcare workers don't have the proper equipment and protective gear to stay safe while doing their jobs.

Don't think some will look at  them ever the same again either.  We take for granted they are there and just doing their jobs.  We should be grateful for them in the same way we do firemen and other rescue people. I have family members in this area too.

Two years ago, I left my position as an office manager at a podiatrist's office.  The medical assistant there is two years younger than me and immunocompromised because of Remicade treatment for ankylosing spondilitis.

Her daughter is a respiratory therapist at a hospital 30 miles from here.  The daughter and her three children live with my co-worker and her husband.

And now I hear that hospital workers are being asked to re-use masks.

This tells me how quickly a virus could move from there to here.

I don't work there anymore, but have a 21 year old son who, though we have talked, is not as much of a germaphobe as I am. I did get him to stop going to the gym, one day before they closed them around here.

A bit off subject, but the Seattle Times newspaper had an article about the worries of the local   grocery checkers and workers working so hard to refill shelves etc.

Many stores ask them  not to wear masks  , one worker said, as it might offend a customer....

I wouldn't be offended at all!
