I was in the middle of a salmonella outbreak years ago.

It took days to find the source which was a broken water pipe under a chicken farm.

Chickens are messy and smelly and are always scratching and pecking around in the dirt and grass and chicken poop. I'm not at all surprised about that.

We're having roast chicken and gravy for dinner. Thanks for the warning. No cuddling before seasoning!!! Lol
