I am so overwhelmed by all your responses and hearts. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

For those of you who asked, it is white.  When my husband turned 60, he bought a red convertible.  It was made for just a few years.  It is getting harder and harder to get parts for it.  He turned 69 recently and has been contemplating giving up his baby.  This win came at the perfect time.  Yes, there's taxes to pay but it is FAR less than if he were purchasing the car outright.

WOW!!  That FANTASTIC!!!  Smiley Happy

It's always exciting to hear about real people winning something substantial!  Congratulations!!

I have a close friend who I happened to run into at the supermarket (this was around 10 years ago).  She told me that she had just found out that she won a trip to Italy for two!  I was so excited for her...she & her DH went a few months after winning!

@lulu1

Enjoy yourselves driving the new car that Fortune sent your way!  That is such great news to share here with everyone.

What a happy surprise for your husband!   He was probably in disbelief for a while. Have fun driving your new car!

Congratulations!

Back in about 2007, one of my co-workers won a huge motorhome camper!  She had been entering contests and raffles for 30 years, and she finally won!   She had to pay a lot of taxes on the motorhome, can't recall how much.  But she and her family used it for vacations for 5 or 6 years, got tired of it, and sold it!

The most I personally won was on a slot machine in Biloxi, MS  in about 2003.  Won about $800, which was a lot to me!!

I was in Biloxi, MS at Harrah's this past weekend.  Wasn't as lucky as you!  My net loss was 40.00.  I can live with that!  Smiley Happy

Thank you all for the kind and enthusiastic responses.

My husband is loving his car.  Living at the shore, it is the perfect mode of transportation. (although the sun has not made many appearances the last few weeks)
